What Can You Expect From Karate Training In Preston?

We teach the dynamic Korean Karate martial art of Tang Soo Do which covers all aspects of Karate training, including kicking, punching, blocking, sparring and fitness training.

Our Positive Start programme is perfect for beginners with little or no experience and will give the student a solid foundation in the basics of Karate You will very quickly experience the many benefits:-

Our professional instruction at Family Martial Arts Centre will take you through the different components of Karate which include:

Basic techniques: which include the different strikes, blocks, kicks, stances and self-defence skills that make up this art form. Learning these can help build your confidence, fitness, health and give you the ability to defend yourself.

Forms or Kata: These are a pattern of movements that help promote self-defence principles, while improving coordination, speed, strength and balance.

Sparring: involves applying the above techniques against an opponent in a safe teaching environment. Initially, you will only spar with others using predetermined techniques in a slow, controlled way, before moving on to free sparring (wearing safety gear) after your skills have developed.

For children and adult beginners alike, our sessions here at Family Martial Arts Centre are tailored to your ability level. We offer a Positive Start Programme for Beginners which has been specifically designed as the perfect starting point for anyone interested in learning Karate, and is tailored to meet any concerns or questions you might have. How Quickly Will You See Results?

In terms of health, physical fitness, and mental wellbeing, you will likely see results after just 30 days, and as your techniques improve, so will your confidence.

If your main aim is achieving a Blackbelt in Karate, we can certainly coach you all the way.
